Brígida Jiménez Herrera and the BRIJIM family

BRIJIM OLIVE CONSULTING was born from the conviction that the future of the olive sector is built on the union of experience, innovation and commitment to quality.

After more than four decades devoted to the study, training and improvement of extra virgin olive oil, Brígida Jiménez Herrera begins a new stage with the desire to continue contributing to the development of a sector that has been part of her personal and professional life.

However, BRIJIM is much more than the continuation of a career. It is a family project that unites generations, combining decades of accumulated experience with a renewed vision ready to face new sector challenges and opportunities.

We believe that behind every oil there are people, territories, stories and values that deserve recognition. That is why we work to contribute to the value creation of extra virgin olive oil and to strengthen those who devote their effort to producing, transforming and bringing it closer to society.

BRIJIM represents the union between experience and future; a space where lifelong knowledge keeps growing to support the olive sector through the challenges and opportunities of the coming years.

Brígida Jiménez Herrera

With a PhD in Pharmacy, specialization in Nutrition, advanced training in fats from the CSIC and an MBA from Instituto San Telmo, Brígida Jiménez Herrera has devoted more than 38 years to research, innovation, technology transfer, training and outreach in the olive grove and extra virgin olive oil sector.

Her career has focused on studying the agronomic and technological factors that influence EVOO quality, its sensory characteristics, nutritional components and contribution to health. She has authored scientific and outreach publications and carried out extensive knowledge-transfer work with farmers, technicians, cooperatives, mills and companies.

Recognized nationally and internationally as a leading voice in extra virgin olive oil quality and culture, she has delivered conferences and training initiatives in Europe, Australia, the Americas and Asia, and has served as an expert judge in some of the world’s most prestigious competitions.

Her work has been honored with distinctions such as being named Adopted Daughter of Cabra, the Andalusian Flags for Environmental Merit and recognition as an EVOO Ambassador of Andalusia, among other awards for research excellence and for defending olive culture.

Beyond recognition, her true vocation has always been to contribute to the progress of the sector, convinced that knowledge, innovation and quality are essential tools to improve farm profitability, dignify the work of those who live from olive growing and guarantee a sustainable future for the next generations.

At the end of her professional career in public administration, she felt that all the knowledge, experience and values accumulated over so many years should not remain with her. BRIJIM was created precisely to continue that legacy, bringing her children into a shared project where they can take on that experience and enrich it with their own perspective, acting as a bridge to new generations.

BRIJIM was created to carry that legacy forward alongside her children, bringing the sector a rigorous, practical vision deeply committed to a more professional, competitive and sustainable future.
